How do your events work?

Our Singles events are a little different - our goal is to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where attendees can “find their people and their person.” What does that mean? We hope you’ll be open to talking to everyone at our events - regardless of romantic interest - because you never know who may have a friend or connection that could be your perfect match!

Most of our events are largely unstructured - with lots of space to mix and mingle with other attendees. All with the help of our team of “Connection Curators” which are basically your wing people!

Some of our events - like our coffee hours or volunteer hours - will have a more structured activity or “get to know you” component to them, to help keep the conversations and connections flowing.

All of our events, though, include a platform called Speed Match to help you connect with other event attendees during or after an event. If you meet someone you’d like to stay connected to, you’ll let us know on the platform and if BOTH people choose to connect with each other, the system will allow you to message each other and set up a time to meet and connect!

Who sees the profile I create to attend an event?

We are NOT a dating app! So, that means the only people that see your profile are the other attendees of the event you attended. Our platform, SpeedMatch, is an easy, no-obligation way to make sure you can connect with people after you attend an event that you are interested in either as friends, a potential date or even as a business or networking connection.

What if I come to a singles event and there’s no one I’m interested in / no one in my age bracket, etc.?

Our Singles Events are a little different! Instead of trying to pigeon hole people into groups based on your demographics - we welcome everyone! Sometimes this means there may not be people you directly connect with on a romantic level, but we believe that every event is an opportunity to practice skills in meeting and connecting with new people. You never know where a new friendship may come from and we have even seen people connect at events that set each other up on dates with people in their networks! So, give it a chance and don’t be shy! We’ll be there to help you mix and mingle!

What is included in the cost of my ticket?

We know dating can feel like a big investment - and it is! We do our very best to keep ticket prices as accessible as possible while also bringing you a great experience. Each event listing will detail what is included in your ticket price - sometimes we are able to include food and beverage, other times it may include the cost of an activity. Ticket price always includes access to the Speed Match platform for the event that you attend, the cost of the great spaces we get to host our events in and, of course, the time and talent of our team and our connection curators.
